Charles M Russell National Wildlife Refuge Act of 2000 authorizes The Army Corps of Engineers in concurrence with the USFWS to transfer 392 lots into private ownership, with the proceeds of the lot sales to be used to acquire land inside and adjacent to the CMR National Wildlife Refuge. The Corps has functions to perform to sell this land to lessees. These functions include Surveys, Sanitation review, and Appraisals to render the land suitable for transfer.
Fort Peck Reservation / Dry Prairie Rural Water System

Funds will complete the main transmission pipelines along the southern boundary of the project, serve the Reservation communities of Brockton and Fort Kipp to the east of Poplar, serve the Reservation communities of Oswego and Frazer west of Wolf Point, and permit the Tribes to begin branch lines to serve its membership and other rural residents within the Reservation. For Dry Prairie, the funds will complete the main transmission pipeline of Dry Prairie from the Reservation to Culbertson, complete the main transmission pipeline and branches of Dry Prairie from Medicine Lake to Plentywood and initiate branch line construction through the Dry Prairie service area around Westby and Outlook.
