Tester Thanks Montana Workers on Labor Day

Senator: “Montanans work harder than any group of people that I know”

U.S. Senator Jon Tester today issued the following statement thanking Montana workers on Labor Day:

“From our teachers to miners, health care workers to folks in the building and construction trades, Montanans work harder than any group of people that I know. On Labor Day, and every day, we must recognize and appreciate the years of work and sacrifice Montana workers have made to guarantee the protections we have today and make life better for future generations. But the threats to worker’s rights are real, which is why it’s critical that we pass the PRO Act to guarantee Montanans’ right to collectively bargain and why I’m going to keep fighting every day for fair wages, safe working conditions, and quality health care and benefits for Montana families.

Tester has long been an advocate for Montana workers and continues to fight for the middle class every day in the United States Senate. He is also an original cosponsor of the Protecting the Right to Organize (PRO) Act of 2021, which would expand various labor protections and strengthen employees’ rights to organize and collectively bargain.
