Tester Praises American Airlines Decision to Bring Flights in Flathead Valley

Senator: New Direct Flights Will Create Jobs, Boost Economy

(U.S. Senate) -U.S. Senator Jon Tester today praised American Airlines’ addition of three new direct flights from Glacier Park International Airport to Dallas, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

The flights will be daily throughout the summer, and are the first American Airlines flights into the airport.

“Bringing in more direct flights will create jobs, boost tourism, and bolster the local economy,” Tester said. “People want to come to Montana, and now getting here will be even easier. I’ll keep fighting to ensure our airports have the resources they need to keep growing and help Montanans stay connected with the rest of the world.”

Tester’s #ConnectMT initiative has been a massive success for Montana’s airports. Last September Tester delivered a grant for $8.7 million to construct a new terminal at the Missoula International Airport, and last summer he secured $2.7 million for the Glacier Park International Airport.
