Montana Delegation Congratulates Sidney Senior on Appointment to Merchant Marine Academy

Breanna Frank Offered Spot in USMMA Class of 2022

(U.S. Congress) – U.S. Senators Jon Tester and Steve Daines, along with Rep. Greg Gianforte, congratulated Sidney High School senior Breanna Frank on her appointment to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

Frank is a decorated athlete, community leader and scholar. She’s been captain of both the varsity track and cross-country teams and is a member of a state championship-winning 19U Girls Hockey team. She is also a member of the National Honor Society, Sidney High School’s Student Body Secretary, and a leader of numerous community service organizations.

Tester, Daines and Gianforte all called to congratulate Frank after she received nominations from the entire delegation.

“I want to congratulate Breanna on her appointment to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy,” Tester said. “Her academic and athletic achievements, combined with her track record of leadership and service to the Sidney community, assure me that she will become an exemplary military leader. I look forward to seeing all the things she’ll accomplish.”

“Breanna has demonstrated excellence in both academics and leadership,” said Daines. “Her record of achievement will follow her to the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and I look forward to watching where her career in service will take her.”

Gianforte said. “I wish Breanna much success, and know she will make Montana proud.”
