Tester statement on state’s analysis of proposed clean air rule

(U.S. SENATE) – Senator Jon Tester today issued the following statement after the Montana Department of Environmental Quality provided analysis on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s proposed clean air rule:

“As a farmer, I know the importance of clean air and clean water, and this analysis will help stakeholders better understand the proposed clean air rule. I applaud Governor Bullock and his team for listening to Montanans and taking a proactive approach to lowering our state’s carbon emissions while ensuring our nation’s energy security. This discussion will make sure we can preserve our treasured lands, keep our families healthy and support our thriving businesses.”
