Tester statement on the death of Sergeant 1st Class Darren Linde

(U.S. SENATE) – Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement in response to news that Sergeant 1st Class Darren Linde was killed in an attack on U.S. troops in Afghanistan this week:

“Sharla and I are deeply saddened by the news of Darren’s passing. Darren spent much of his adult life serving his country, and we will be forever grateful for his service and sacrifice. Sharla and I will keep Darren’s family in our thoughts and prayers.”

Linde, a 1989 graduate of Sidney High School, was an instructor with the North Dakota Army National Guard. He previously served two stints with the Montana Army National Guard.

Linde is survived by his wife, Adrienne, and their four children.
