Tester: Victims of Afghanistan attack ‘died as heroes’

(BIG SANDY, Mont.) – Senator Jon Tester released the following statement in response to today’s attack in Afghanistan that killed more than two dozen Americans aboard a NATO helicopter:

“Sharla and I join all Montanans in sending our thoughts and prayers to the victims of today’s attack, their families, their friends and their communities.  I ask everyone who reads this to take at least a moment to honor the lives lost today, and to remember that these Americans, like so many others, died as heroes who were simply doing exactly what was asked of them—serving all of us.”
