HELENA, Mont. (AP) — Don Loranger of Bigfork is being named to the National Security Education Board that oversees a program tasked with drafting security recommendations.
The retired Air Force general currently is director of a program at The University of Montana's Maureen and Mike Mansfield Center that trains soldiers in foreign cultures and languages.
In his new role, Loranger will make recommendations to the National Security Education Program for increasing the country's ability to deal effectively with foreign cultures and languages.
U.S. Sen. Jon Tester recommended Loranger for the post. The senator says Loranger has the right expertise for the job.
