Hi-Line Today: Tester Secures $3 Million for Montana Food

U.S. Senator Jon Tester secured a Resilient Food Systems Infrastructure (RFSI) award of more than $3 million to strengthen Montana’s food supply chain.

The funding will support a cooperative partnership between the Montana Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS). Under this partnership, the Montana Department of Agriculture will make subawards that support the middle of the food supply chain, allowing Montana farmers, ranchers, and small businesses to tap into new markets and expand their economic footprint.
