Helena Independent Record
U.S. Sen. Jon Tester’s staff plans to hold 10 flood outreach meetings in Montana in July, including sessions in Broadwater and Jefferson counties.
Tester has directed his Montana staff to schedule the meetings for Montanans impacted by severe flooding across the state. His representatives will host the two-hour information sessions, which are designed to connect residents affected by flooding to resources available from state and federal agencies.
Tester is inviting representatives from USDA’s Farm Service Agency, Natural Resource Conservation Service, Rural Development and Risk Management Agency, the Montana Department of Revenue, the Montana Disaster Emergency Services Division, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), the U.S. Small Business Administration, the Red Cross, local Food Banks, the Human Resource and local Councils on Aging to the sessions.
The Broadwater County meeting is slated for 3 to 5 p.m. July 12 in the commissioners meeting room at the Broadwater County Courthouse, 515 Broadway in Townsend.
The Jefferson County meeting is scheduled to take play from 10 a.m. to noon July 11, in the Jefferson County Local Development Corporation’s extension office board room, 309 East Legion Ave., in Whitehall.
Other meetings will be held in Big Horn, Dawson, Fergus, Hill, Musselshell, Sweet Grass and Valley counties.
