NonStop Local: Belgrade intersections will see reconstruction and safety improvements along Jackrabbit Lane

by Kai Williams

Key intersections along Jackrabbit Lane in Belgrade will see big reconstructions happening with the granting of $25 million for the Belgrade Urban Project.

The project will include reconstructing Jackrabbit Lane to five lanes from Madison Avenue to Main Street, according to a release from Sen. Jon Tester’s office. It will also add grade-separated crossing at the railroad on Jackrabbit, signal improvements, and infrastructure to improve safety for pedestrians and bikers.

“Belgrade is one of the fastest growing communities in Montana, and that growth puts real pressure on local infrastructure,” Sen. Tester said in a press release.

The funding is part of the Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity (RAISE) Grant, focusing this project on improved safety for all users of the road.
