NonStop Local: Bipartisan Fentanyl Act & Narcotics Deference bill signed by Pres. Biden

In case you missed it – the fentanyl crisis is now a national emergency. -It’s all part of a bill co-sponsored by Senator Jon Tester and signed into law by President Biden this past week.

The bipartisan fentanyl eradication and narcotics deference of fentanyl act also imposes tough economic sanctions on cartels. It will require the presidential administration to report to congress on actions being taken to reduce the crisis.

According to the CDC, 113 people died in Montana in the year 2021 from opioid overdose – including 62 from fentanyl.
