Tester statement on appointment of Royce Engstrom as new UM President

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement after the Montana Board of Regents voted to hire Royce Engstrom as the next president of The University of Montana:

“I congratulate Royce on his new position as president of The University of Montana. He is stepping up to lead a world-class institution at a time when  higher education has become critical to rebuilding our economy by investing in our human infrastructure.  Royce’s vision for making sure Montana students have access to a quality, affordable education will help ensure that Montana stays at the cutting-edge of the research, development, and small businesses incubation that leads to job creation.
