Tester: Highway Trust Fund vote will save good-paying jobs, boost infrastructure

(WASHINGTON, D.C.) – Senator Jon Tester released the following statement after voting to pass legislation transferring $8 billion to the Highway Trust Fund.  The measure, championed in the Senate by Montana Senator Max Baucus, passed unanimously.

“This is going to keep thousands of good-paying jobs in Montana and it’s a smart investment in our infrastructure.  The President needs to sign this as soon as it lands on his desk to keep folks working and to strengthen highways across our state and country.”
