Tester announces new VA Montana director

Miles City native Christine Gregory will take over at Fort Harrison

(U.S. SENATE) – Senator Jon Tester today announced that Christine Gregory will become the new director of VA Montana. Gregory, a Miles City native, is currently the Associate Director of Patient Care for the VA in Des Moines, Iowa:

“Montana veterans earned high-quality health care, and I look forward to partnering with Christine to make VA Montana the best veterans care provider in the nation. More veterans are returning home every day with wounds seen and unseen, and we have a responsibility to make sure they have access to care no matter where they live.”

The VA Montana Health Care System provides a VA presence in every major city in the state through a series of community based clinics, a community living center, and an acute care medical center. Montana has the second-most veterans per capita of any state.

Tester is Montana’s only member of the Senate Veterans’ Committee. His recent efforts to improve the care of Montana’s veterans include helping to expand the Billings VA Clinic, improve veterans’ transportation options, and connect more veterans with good-paying job opportunities.

Gregory will replace Acting VA Montana Director Lavonne Liversage.
