Tester announces new senior staff

Wise, Laslovich become Chief of Staff, Legislative Director

(U.S. Senate) – Senator Jon Tester today announced that Jamie Wise will serve as his new Chief of Staff and Dylan Laslovich will be his new Legislative Director.

“Montanans know what hard work can accomplish and my staff works hard to meet their expectations,” Tester said. “Jamie and Dylan are ready to step up to the challenge of working with me and my entire staff to strengthen Montana’s economy, preserve our way of life and help our state live up to its status as The Last Best Place.”

Wise has served as Tester’s Legislative Director since January 2011 working on a broad range of issues from veterans to campaign finance reform. Wise joined Tester’s staff shortly after the Big Sandy farmer entered the U.S. Senate in 2007, working on veterans and homeland security issues. He will oversee Tester’s staff in eight Montana field offices and Washington D.C.

“I’m honored by this responsibility and look forward to continuing to serve Montana,” Wise said. “Senator Tester and his staff are deeply committed to serving Montana, and I am proud to support Jon’s fight for common sense, responsible solutions that move Montana forward.”

Wise replaces Tom Lopach who has served as Tester’s Chief of Staff for the past four years and is transitioning to work as Executive Director of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee.

“Tom Lopach has done an amazing job as Chief of Staff, serving the people of Montana day in and day out,” Tester said. “He’s going to continue serving our state by helping to elect leaders with strength and conviction.”

Laslovich, a native Montanan who graduated from the University of Montana, has worked for Tester for more than four years, focusing on public lands, energy and agriculture issues.

Wise and Laslovich join State Director Dayna Swanson, Deputy State Director Stacey Anderson and Communications Director Marnee Banks to make up Tester’s senior staff.
