Tester statement on long-term Highway Bill

(U.S. Senate) – Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement after joining 61 of his colleagues in voting to begin debate on a six-year Highway Bill:

“America needs a 21st Century economy, and a long-term Highway Bill provides an important opportunity to invest in our infrastructure and keep America moving. While I have concerns about some of the ways we pay for this bill, I look forward to making it better so we can create jobs here at home and ensure that America stays the leader of the global economy.”
