Tester statement on Pope Francis’ address to Congress

(U.S. Senate ) – Senator Jon Tester today issued the following statement after escorting Pope Francis into the House chambers to address a joint session of Congress:

“The Pope’s message comes at an important time in Washington when dysfunction is running high and politics often drives the agenda. His message of building a spirit of cooperation for the future of our children is one we must all embrace and work toward each and every day.”
