Tester statement on Senate’s passage of pipeline safety bill

(U.S. Senate) – Senator Jon Tester today issued the following statement after the Senate unanimously passed a bill to improve pipeline safety and reauthorize Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration through 2019:

“Montanans know how devastating it can be when pipelines break. That’s why I was pleased to throw my support behind a bill that will improve safety, protect our clean water, and allow Montana’s energy sector to safely transport oil and gas. I urge the House to act quickly on this important legislation.”
