Senator Tester Nominates Montana’s Best & Brightest for U.S. Service Academies

(Big Sandy, Mont.) – Senator Jon Tester today announced that he is nominating 35 Montana students for spots at the nation’s four prestigious military service academies.

A nomination from a member of Congress is required for consideration and acceptance to the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Military Academy, the U.S. Naval Academy, or the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy.

“It’s a great honor, and an ever greater responsibility to support the next generation of America’s military leaders,” Tester said. “I have the utmost faith that these fine young men and women have what it takes—and understand what it means—to be appointed to a United States Service Academy.”

Tester nominated the following students based on their academic achievements, extracurricular activities, acts of leadership in their communities, and their express commitment to defend our liberties and freedoms as members of the United States military.
