Tester Statement on Sanctioning Russia

(Big Sandy, Mont.) – Senator Jon Tester today issued the following statement after the United States imposed harsh sanctions on Russian intelligence services:

“These sanctions send a strong message that the United States will not tolerate cyberattacks on our nation or our democracy. United we must stand firm to say there are consequences for Russia’s aggression and we will not sit idly by if any foreign government attempts to harm our democracy, our security, and our standing in the world.”
