Tester Announces $3.4 Million for Helena Regional Airport

Funds will go to reconstruct and repair apron

U.S. Senator Jon Tester today announced $3,470,228 in Federal Aviation Administration funds for the Helena Regional Airport for the repair and reconstruction of airport aprons.

“In Montana, air travel is key to keeping folks connected and supporting critical industries like tourism,” said Tester. “This funding is a much-needed investment in our transportation infrastructure, and will make flying in and out of Helena safer, quicker, and more efficient.”

Tester has been a champion of investments in Montana’s transportation infrastructure, particularly in the face of the coronavirus pandemic, which has upended travel across the country. Recently, he announced $1.3 million for Helena Regional Airport to improve airport drainage and erosion control, reconstruct and rehabilitate aprons, and restore the south taxilane to extend its utility.
