Tester Congratulates Great Falls’ Aedan Bingham on Acceptance to U.S. Naval Academy
Senator nominated Bingham and 23 other Montanans for Army, Navy, Air Force, and Merchant Marine Academies
U.S. Senator Jon Tester recently congratulated Great Falls’ Aedan Bingham on his appointment to the U.S. Naval Academy.
Bingham is a student at Charles M. Russell High School and is a member of Business Professionals of America and student government. He has competed as captain of the Economic Research Team and Presentation Management Team as part of the Business Professionals of America. He also plays tennis and finished third at the 2023 Tennis Divisional.
“It’s an honor to help Montana’s best and brightest students continue our state’s long and proud history of serving in our armed forces by attending one of our nation’s military service academies,” said Tester. “Aedan is an outstanding student leader, and I look forward to seeing him continue to make our state proud at the Naval Academy with his passion to serve our country.”
Tester nominated Bingham—along with 23 other Montanans—in December based on their academic accomplishments, extracurricular activities, and dedication to serving and leading in the United States military. A nomination from a member of Congress is a student’s first step in applying to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
