Tester Congratulates Sheridan’s Alicia Dale on Acceptance to U.S. Air Force Academy

Senator nominated Dale and 23 other Montanans for Army, Navy, Air Force, and Merchant Marine Academies

U.S. Senator Jon Tester congratulates Sheridan’s Alicia Dale on her appointment to the U.S. Air Force Academy.

Dale attends Twin Bridges High School where she competed in basketball and cross country, and was named to All-State teams for both sports. She also served as a Congressional Page in the Montana House of Representatives and was the treasurer, secretary, and vice president of her 4-H chapter.

“Montanans have a long and proud legacy of serving in our armed forces, and it’s a great honor to help our best and brightest continue that legacy at one of our nation’s top-notch service academies,” said Tester. “Alicia is an outstanding student athlete and leader with a dedication to serving her country, and I look forward to seeing her do great things at the U.S. Air Force Academy.”

Tester nominated Dale—along with 23 other Montanans—in December 2023 based on their academic accomplishments, extracurricular activities, and dedication to serving and leading in the United States military. A nomination from a member of Congress is a student’s first step in applying to the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, the U.S. Naval Academy, the U.S. Air Force Academy, and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy
