Tester Statement on Anniversary of September 11th Attacks
U.S. Senator Jon Tester today released the following statement in recognition of the 23rd anniversary of the September 11th, 2001 terrorist attacks:
“23 years after the devastating September 11th terrorist attacks, Sharla and I mourn the loss of nearly 3,000 innocent lives and honor the brave Americans who put their lives on the line that day. Today, we not only pay tribute to the civilians and first responders who died on September 11th, 2001, but we also recognize the countless servicemembers who have stepped up and given their lives to defend our freedom in the decades since. As we commemorate this horrific day in our nation’s history, let us honor the strength and resilience that defines us as Americans, and remember there is more that unites us than divides us.”
