Tester Statement on President Biden’s WOTUS Veto

Following President Biden vetoing the Congressional Review Act to overturn his Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule, U.S. Senator Jon Tester released the following statement:

“As a third-generation farmer, I know firsthand how critical clean water is to our economy and communities across Montana. After listening to farmers, ranchers, and other stakeholders, it’s clear this rule isn’t right for Montana. I oppose President Biden’s decision to double down on this flawed one-size-fits-all policy, and I’ll continue to stand up to anyone in Washington when they don’t understand the challenges we’re facing here in rural Montana.”

Tester voted in favor of the Congressional Review Act to overturn the Biden Administration’s Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule last week.
